A Little About Me

Hi…thanks for visiting my Blog…

A little about me… I am a wife and mother of two. My name is Krista and I am 35 years young :). I have a wonderful husband named Shon, who is a superb graphic designer and artist, among being a talented musician, from band Still Dreadful and one hell of a man and father. And now, he is adding to his resume…. he is  a Hawleywoods World Class Barber. Raleigh Orion (4) and Vaughn Saxon (2) are our two sons.

I am dedicated to my family and our overall well-being. I do this by focusing on three components; mind, body and spirit. We maintain a balanced (no meat) diet, which includes, fermentation (mainly, Kombucha), sprouting, and growing our own vegetables and fruits.  Also, we have a meditation practice, which includes yoga, stretching and breathing.

On the weekends we get out into nature, by hiking to waterfalls, scenic views and lakes. We are always thinking of new places to go.

Prior to having my own family, I enjoy dancing. I graduated high school at OCHSA, Orange County High School of the Arts. A fantastic preforming arts high school with many departments of the arts such as, visual arts, classical dance, lighting engineering, etc.

While in high-school, I managed to attain my single-engine Instrument Pilot’s License at AFI in Fullerton, CA. Honestly, the BEST flight school in Southern California. I would go as far to say, in my experience, the best flight school EVER!!!

I then, made it through college, attaining a BA in Communications, Advertising and Marketing at California State University of Fullerton.

However, right after college I strapped a backpack on my back and I set off traveling, by myself. I traveled like this off and on for 6 years.

My favorite job outside of college and in between my personal travels, had nothing to do with my degree. I was a corporate flight attendant for well known celebrities. “Jet-Sett’n” as they say. I was able to travel on the nicest jets made, with, honestly, the nicest people as well. Not to mention, experiencing a variety of cultures, customs and values.

My goal now is to learn, educate and inspire. I want to pass on what I have learned about managing a healthy, fulfilling, exciting life.

Currently, I make Custom T-Shirt Blankets on Etsy.com. My Etsy Shop…

Unlimited Amount of Items: may include Shirts, Sweatshirts, Jersey’s, Children’s Clothes, Scarves, Towels, Blankets, Tank Tops, Boxers, Pants, Ribbons, Patches, Button-ups, Hats…
as long as it’s fabric, I sew it into the blanket.. I send back the items I don’t use with the final blanket.

I try to use the front and back of all shirts, sleeves and all parts of special items.

Unlimited Size: most of the time, the amount of shirts determine the size, but I can make it any size your prefer.

Extras: Bordering – add length and width by framing each shirt and/or outter edge.

Other Items: Pillows, Throws, Scarves, Duvets, Pillowcases, and any other suggestions or ideas you light have.

The Process:

Gather your items that you have… you would then send them to me.. I then, organize, sort and cut. I cut the size depending on the largest print. Each blanket is unique and made for the items given to me.

I will take pictures and email them to you..from there we can rearrange, change, take out.. so on.. each step I ask for approval..

Price includes:

– Cutting, Organization, design and Layout
– Sewing, thread, time, pictures
– Fabric(s) (if needed – for back)
– Interfacing (strengthen shirts if needed)
– Batting (1/2 inch padding)
– Tacking

can work in payments if needed.
